Nadine Koonooka and Austin Apassingok are proud to announce the birth of their baby girl Leilani Rose Koonooka. She was born in Nome on August 24, 2019 at 5:55 a.m. She weighed 8 lbs and 11oz and measured 21 ½ inches in length. Her maternal grandparents are Jared and Valentina Koonooka, her paternal grandparents are John and Shirlene Apassingok, all of Gambell. The baby and her parents will be residing in Gambell.
