Wedding Bells: Kristin Greenly and Clark Reddaway

Kristin M. Greenly and Clark F. Reddaway are happy to announce their wedding, which took place on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at a private residence in Icy View, Nome, Alaska.

Brad Gater officiated the wedding, with Sue Greenly and Bantu Nichols serving as witnesses.

For the first time in ages, Builders was closed between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, however, the shop was still open for business between noon and 3 p.m.

The bride and groom had planned the wedding for a long time but surprised family and friends when they found out that the gathering was for the purpose to witness a wedding. “What took you so long?” is not only the question that inquiring minds like to know but was also inscribed on the wedding cake — alluding to the long courtship of Kris and Clark. Once the cake was eaten, a note written by the baker on the cardboard below the cake said, “To another 50!” Even the baker who made the wedding cake wasn’t in on the couple’s well-kept secretive nuptial plans and assumed that the cake was for the 50th anniversary of Builders.

The newly-weds are off to the sunny shores of Kona, Hawai’I to celebrate their honeymoon for a week.
