Rebecca Jane Pushruk
Rebecca Jane Pushruk as born to Raymond Weyanna and Theresa Kugzruk on August 3, 1959. She left us to be with the Lord on July 6, 2019.
Becky enjoyed being with her family more than anything, telling stories and laughing and reminiscing. She lived a full life, working hard as a Health Aid, City Clerk, Postal Mistress, Mary’s Igloo board member, reindeer herder, skin sewer, kuspuk and Doll Maker, Ivory Carver, and Wedding Cake Maker.
Becky loved sitting in the park and watching bears, or sitting at the lake and watching the ducks. She enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
Becky will always be remembered for her beautiful, loving smile and her stories will never be forgotten. She was always so kind and generous.
Becky is survived by her brothers Alvin Topsekok and Walter and James Weyanna; her son Shawn Pushruk; her grandkids Dorothy Pushruk, Jaclyn Dixon, Kodi Magby and Galen Pushruk; her great grandkids Anthony, Elliot and MariRose; her companion Conn Lukehart and many relatives, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents Raymond Weyanna and Theresa Kugzruk; her children MariRose, Robbie, Bryan, Galen and Patrick “Peanut” Pushruk.
The family of Rebecca would like to express their gratitude to everyone who helped and donated.
Services will be held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel in Anchorage on Thursday July 25, viewing from 12 to 2 p.m., with service at 2 p.m. and the burial at 3 p.m. Potluck to follow at St. Anthony at 5 p.m.
