Warren Roy Aginna Olanna was born December 14, 1960 at Brevig Misson, Alaska to Elliot and Emma Olanna.  He went peacefully to be with our Lord on June 5, 2021 at Norton Sound Health Corporation, Quyana Care Center.

Warren was blessed with two sets of parents.  He lived with Charlie and Ida Weyauvanna.

Warren was well known for his artistic talent: carving ivory and bone carvings.  He also did drawings on various hides and block print.

Warren attended Nome-Beltz High School and graduated from Shishmaref School in 1979.

Warren served in the Alaska National Guard until he was honorably discharged due to his health conditions, which prevented him from entering the workforce.

Warren married his lifelong companion Mary Ann on April 16, 2005.

Warren loved clamming in Wales; he also enjoyed singing in the Wales Choir.  Warren enjoyed visiting Brevig Mission.  While Warren was living in Wales, he went bowhead whale hunting with Raymond Seetook, Sr.’s crew.

Warren loved all his nieces and nephews. He especially loved his sister Minnie’s kids and lovingly took in his nephew Terrin for a few months.  His niece Desiree’ was special because she had his mom Ida’s Eskimo Name.  Charlie and Ida Weyauvanna raised Warren; he was named after their son Warren they lost as a teen.

Over the years Warren and Mary Ann lived in Shishmaref, Wales, Brevig Mission and Nome.  Warren considered Wales his home; when they visited Shishmaref, within days he would tell Mary Ann “I want to go home.”
